Poker is all about hand values. As a result, the hand values of almost all poker games are the same. While some games may have unique rules, such as deuces wild or jokers in play, most games are simple games where what you see is what you get.

Royal Flush

10 through Ace, the five highest cards are all from the same suit. It’s essentially an ace-high straight flush. It’s not essential to wear a suit.

Straight Flush

Five suited cards in consecutive numerical order. You can have the ace high or low, as in Ace 2, 3, 4, 5, 5.

Four of a Kind

Four cards of the same rank are four cards, such as four aces. Two players could have four cards of the same level, for example, four aces. The highest-ranking card would be the ace.

Full House

Three cards of the same rank plus any pair of cards of a different rank are considered ties. The three of a type and then the pair break ties. Three aces and two threes are better than three tens or two kings.

Straight

A straight ace of 10, Q, K, Ace is better than a serial king of 9,10, J. Q. K. Ace can also be high or low.

Three of a Kind

Three cards are the same rank. Three kings are better than three queens.

Two Pair

Two cards are the same rank plus two cards of the identical denomination. Two 10s and two Kings would be an example. The second pair is the winner if both hands have the highest team. If the pairs tie, the highest card wins.

Pair

Two cards are of the same rank. The highest card wins in a tie.

High Card

If there is no other hand, the highest card held wins. The following cards are ranked: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, JQ, K, Ace.
